The 'Leicestershire History site' launched yesterday which is a project of the Leicestershire Victoria County History Trust.

Their aim is to publish online and within a series of books, a history of every town and village in Leicestershire, from the first settlers to the present day. The new Leicestershire & Rutland Church site now taking shape and we should have all information tranferred by end of February. Can I wish all of you a very happy and prosperous 2012.
I have now moved the new site and we should have everything ready for a end of February launch - ready I hope for the start of the warmer weather.
It has been a longer process than originally planned but I am sure the wait will be worthwhile. I will keep you updated here on developments.

We have no grants, no sponsorship, or any other help with the running of the site. However we do sell prints, wall art and even have digital downloads available for the churches. The sale of these helps with costs of the site and the continued additions each week. You can find details on our printed material and digital downloads on each of the church entries. Please note at present this facility is being rolled out to all entries.
