Welcome

There are some spectacular churches within the beautiful two counties of Leicestershire & Rutland. This site should enable you to visit these buildings and enjoy them.
From this site you can explore the counties treasures from your armchair. We have great images and historical text on each parish church. At present we are approaching nearly two hundred entries, keep checking back for new additions. If your new to the site the best place to start is the 'Directory' page.....

Heritage Events

There are many local Heritage groups across the counties.
Recently the Narborough & Littlethorpe Heritage Society formed and Olwen Hughes has become our Patron and is visiting us on Tuesday 14th Feb to discuss her work.

You can find out more by clicking on the website left where you will find many more events and guest speakers - including myself in March on the churches of Leicestershire.
Many of our speakers discuss events in the county and further a field and all are welcome so why not come along?

11th February 2012
The new site progresses SLOWLY, but I need to have it ready soon as the weather gets better and I can then get out and about and photograph some more. After all this cold weather I cannot wait for the Spring and a change in temperature!
I am in the process of putting a 'presentation' together for a talk for my local heritage society (we also look after the website which is similar to the new church site) on Tuesday 13th March at Narborough Parish Centre, all our welcome.

Help Support This site

We have no grants, no sponsorship, or any other help with the running of the site. However we do sell prints, wall art and even have digital downloads available for the churches. The sale of these helps with costs of the site and the continued additions each week. You can find details on our printed material and digital downloads on each of the church entries. Please note at present this facility is being rolled out to all entries.

You can browse our online photo shop here with our online gallery at Photobox. We also have a selection of books we have chosen through Amazon and there is a link above.
